PLATFORM BRIEF · WHAT IT IS · WHERE WE ARE · THE PLAN

THE DIGIDECK
PLATFORM.

A premium digital-collectible platform built around a physical, battery-powered, screen-equipped deck box. Licensed art ships and lives encrypted, decrypts only in memory to display, is keyed uniquely per deck so a breach can’t spread, and is copy-limited — or one-of-one serialised for exclusives. Only the verified owner of genuine hardware can ever receive it.

01 — THE HARDWARE

ONE SMALL DECK. BUILT TO HOLD ART.

The DigiDeck is an ESP32-S3 device with a colour display, battery and Bluetooth Low Energy. It cycles a featured animated hero edition and your card imagery, and it only ever talks to your phone — never the open internet. A parallel-interface display upgrade and a ~300-unit production PCB are in progress.

02 — ENCRYPTION & DELIVERY

THE ART NEVER TRAVELS IN THE CLEAR.

Every paid edition is encrypted with AES-256-CBC per item. It reaches your deck cloud → phone → deck: the internet only ever carries ciphertext, and the last hop is Bluetooth. The deck decrypts into volatile memory to display — the plaintext artwork is never written to storage, verified byte-for-byte on hardware.

01
CLOUD ENCRYPTS IT

Each edition is encrypted per item with AES-256 and its key is prepared for the entitled deck before it ever leaves our servers.

02
PHONE RELAYS IT

Your iPhone downloads the ciphertext over the internet and passes it to the deck over Bluetooth. The phone never sees the artwork.

03
DECK DECRYPTS IT

The deck decrypts into memory only, one frame at a time, to display. Dump the storage and you get ciphertext, not viewable art.

03 — OWNERSHIP & SECURITY

OWNERSHIP PROVEN IN CRYPTO, NOT PROXIMITY.

The secure ownership spine — per-device keys, claim codes, an on-device command gate and signed leases — is complete and hardware-verified across firmware, cloud and the provisioning rig. Keys are per-device, so compromising one deck can never unlock content on another.

Per-device key + claim code
LIVE · HARDWARE-PROVEN

Every deck gets a unique key at provisioning. A claim code — HMAC(device key, hardware address) — is printed in the box; entering it binds the deck to your account. This closes the “pair-jacking” risk of a stranger in range hijacking a deck.

Owner-gated commands
LIVE · HARDWARE-PROVEN

The deck refuses any state-changing command over Bluetooth unless the connection is proven to be the owner's — a per-connection challenge co-signed by the backend. Read-only status stays open.

Anti-theft leases
LIVE · HARDWARE-PROVEN

The backend issues short-lived signed leases relayed by your phone; a deck left too long without a fresh lease can lock itself. Lock-and-recover is hardware-proven and lives as an owner toggle; full marketplace enforcement arms at launch.

Anti-counterfeit
LIVE · HARDWARE-PROVEN

Only genuine, backend-keyed hardware can be claimed or receive licensed content. A cloned board has no valid key and is refused outright.

04 — THREE KINDS OF DECK

OPEN, LIMITED, OR CHAMPION.

Everyone starts with an Open Deck — the everyday device your collection lives on. A Limited Edition Deck bakes a single serialised edition into one unit. The Champion / Legend Deck is different: it is a seasonal starter product built around the chosen character, with licensed hardware and exclusive motion artwork rather than numbered scarcity.

THE CHAMPION / LEGEND STARTER

The season’s chosen legend gives the starter its identity. The bundle pairs the physical starter deck with a licensed DigiDeck box, matching display accessory and exclusive animated card — a launch edition, not a numbered Limited Edition Deck.

SEASON LAUNCH
05 — LICENSED ACCESSORIES

THE STARTER DECK
BECOMES A PRODUCT.

Each season can launch with a Champion / Legend Edition built around its chosen character: the physical starter card deck, a licensed DigiDeck collector box, a matching pogo-pin charging and display stand, and an exclusive motion card for that season’s legend.

DAY0 EXAMPLE · CDR. MARA VEX

If Mara Vex is Day0’s legend or chase character, the Champion / Legend starter ships with her exclusive motion artwork preloaded on its DigiDeck. This is not a numbered Limited Edition Deck; it is the character-led launch edition for the season, pairing the starter deck with its physical home and motion identity.

LICENSED DECK BOXES

A set- or character-specific physical shell that turns the starter product into something collectors can display.

CHARGING + DISPLAY

Matching pogo-pin stands for charging on a home shelf, game-store counter or launch display.

A NEW ACCESSORY RANGE

One approved visual language can extend across the box, stand, packaging and retail presentation.

KNOWN BEFORE PRODUCTION

PRELOAD THE STARTER LIST

When the approved card list is locked before manufacture, the complete starter deck can be encrypted and loaded during provisioning. It is ready to browse the first time the box is opened.

REVEALED AT LAUNCH

PUSH IT OVER THE AIR

When the list must stay secret, the hardware ships ready and the approved starter package is released through the app at launch. The phone securely relays it to the DigiDeck over Bluetooth.

06 — CONTENT TIERS & LIMITED RUNS

FREE TO COLLECT. LIMITED TO OWN.

Content is organised into three tiers. New sets release in scheduled drops with a fixed run size — and once a run closes, it never reopens.

On the store these read as free open art, £2 still and £4 motion editions, with serialised exclusives sold as Limited Edition Decks.

07 — HONEST BOUNDARIES

COLLECTIBLE-GRADE, AND CONTAINMENT-FIRST.

The protection is sized to a ~£40 collectible — deliberately not banking-grade, but materially stronger than art in the clear. Physical access to a single deck is the limit of any DRM: a determined attacker who owns a deck could, with effort, attack that one unit.

What the design guarantees is the blast radius: it is that single deck, never the edition and never other buyers’ copies. Exclusive keys are hardware-fused into the deck’s eFuse, so the containment is enforced in silicon. The protection is collectible-grade by design — proportionate to the object, and honest about where the guarantees begin and end.

08 — GETTING STARTED

OUT OF THE BOX IN THREE STEPS.

01
PAIR IT

Your Open Deck ships with open art already on it. Sign in to the iOS app and connect over Bluetooth — no account setup on the device itself.

02
CLAIM IT

Enter the claim code printed in the box. Ownership is written to your account and the deck is bound to you; from here every command is owner-gated.

03
COLLECT

Browse the store, buy and push free and limited editions to your deck — and, to own a whole run, add a Limited Edition Deck.
